Duration: 10 minutes

Slash at a creature with the device. Make a melee spell attack against one creature within melee range. The target takes 4d8 necrotic damage on a hit. The user of the device then gains temporary hit points equal to the damage dealt to the creature. This device has no effect on undead or constructs. The temporary hit points granted by this device expire after 10 minutes.

At higher levels: When supercharged for each gadget level above fifth, the damage is increased by 1d8.
