Duration: Instantaneous

In the barrel of the device, a green beam begins to stir up as you prepare to fire the weapon. You may fire the beam in any direction, forming a 5 foot wide, 60 foot long beam. Any creature which is looking into the beam as it approaches is forced to make a CON saving throw. If the creature rolls a natural one on the save, they are instantly petrified. If the creature fails the save, but does not roll a natural one, they begin turning to stone and are restrained. This restrained creature must re-do their saving throw at the end of its next turn, becoming petrified on a failure or breaking free on a success. If the creature succeeds on the original save, they are not effected by the beam. The petrification is permanent unless reversed by a reality bender or other anomalous means.
