Seren Aldrath Quelavar College of the Natural Sciences Year 2040 of the Continuous Calendar
This paper was received by the Thessavar College of Applied Magic on the 14th day of the Month of Storms, Year 2040 CC. Copies were in the hands of both empires' military commands within thirty days of publication. The author was informed of this eighteen months later. She did not comment publicly. Her private response is preserved in a letter to a colleague, a single line of which has survived: "I knew when I wrote it. I published it anyway. I do not know what that makes me."
